Colt Ford Isn’t Retiring

I had a chance to catch up with Colt Ford last night at Renegades in West Palm, Florida. Here are some highlights from our conversation:

:50 CMA Award Nominations

3:10 Future Collaborations

4:34 Has anyone turned down his request for a collaboration?

6:18 He dispels the retirement rumor

After the show, a label rep from Average Joe’s (Colt’s record label) told me a story that earned me a whole new respect for Jake Owen. He said Jake was having issues getting permission from RCA to record ‘Back’ with Colt. Jake eventually got fed up, and marched into some bigwigs office and said, “I wanna do this and I want them to be able to release this as a single!” And, well..you know how that story ends.

Also, did you know that Colt is buddies with Miami Marlins pitcher Josh Johnson? Colt’s a Fins fan!
