Would Johnny Cash Have Collaborated with Colt Ford?

Johnny Cash’s son, John Carter Cash, answered the question (sorta) last October..

I bet he’s familiar with Colt now. The country rapper just made chart history with his first #1 album, ‘Declaration of Independence’. This is the first rap-styled country album to debut in the top spot. Cowboy Troy debuted at #2 seven years ago with ‘Loco Motive’.

I daresay Johnny would have appeared on a track with Colt. The WiseOldBitch appears to agree in this article.

He absolutely would have! I’m interested to know what Colt Ford was doing when Johnny was covering Trent Reznor, Sting, and Lennon and McCartny…just listening to American IV…love that album! Put that out in 2012

  2. Before music, Colt was a pro golfer.

That’s crazy, I didn’t know that. I think I’d take the luxury of golfing over the stress of making music…but who knows, maybe it’s the opposite for Colt?
